Spend four hours at Antonietta and Piero’s farmhouse in the hills around Lucca. Make fresh pasta from scratch, prepare bruschetta, taste garden-grown produce, and sit down to a Tuscan meal with local wine, dessert, coffee, and homemade limoncello. The small group is limited to six.

“The cooking class was amazing. Antoniette is an amazing chef with a lot of knowledge and patience to share all her knowledge with us. The food was DELICIOUS, everything was super fresh, some things from her own garden/farm. This was a party of 7, and my whole family enjoyed the experience. Piero is also an outstanding host, as well as Monica and our interpreter. We felt like home the whole time, and we had a lovely dinner, wine tasting and great conversation after cooking. I'd do it again, totally recommended!”

Lucca: Pasta and Tiramisu Class at a Local’s Home

3.Pasta and Tiramisu Class at a Local’s Home

★★★★★★★★★★4.9 · 56 reviews · from $202

Spend three hours in a Lucca family home learning two pasta recipes and tiramisu from an Italian home cook. Hosts such as Silvia, Monica, Paolo, and Assunta offer hands-on guidance, family recipes, prosecco, wine, coffee, and a generous meal around the table.

“We loved the class, Sylvia was an excellent teacher and we learned so much. The food was all brilliant and no one was hungry when we left. Highly recommend this class. The only change I would suggest is clearer information regarding the meeting place as we were sent 2 different locations and this was rather confusing. The only other suggestion might be to offer more than just red wine.”

★★★★★★★★★★4.5 · 34 reviews · 3 hours (approx.) · from $215

Join a Cesarine host in Lucca for a three-hour pasta class inside a local home. Depending on your host, you may prepare tordelli Lucchese, maccheroni tortellati, matuffi, gnocchi, or tagliatelle, then sit down with wine to eat what you made.

“This was not as advertised. I expected a nice farm house and lovely woman (or gentleman) to guide us in cooking some wonderful Italian meals. Instead it was a HOT apartment in the city (which could be overlooked) but we only made ONE pasta which was then tossed in olive oil and parmesan cheese. That was it, that was our cooking experience from a 20ish something (although nice) young man. This was in no way as advertised or a fun event.”
